Five steps to care

Urological diseases

Urological diseases

Our hospital offers multidisciplinary, high-quality diagnostics, treatment and follow-up for urological diseases and cancers. Our staff has specialized in treating urological diseases, and our treatment is in line with the updated EAU guidelines. We use the latest equipment and methods that have been proven effective in treating urological diseases.

We will begin treatment negotiations immediately, and therefore we will be able to start the necessary treatments quickly, as well. Urological treatments are focused on surgical procedures, but we also provide our expertise in diagnostics and in the treatment of infections. In our hospital, the management plan is implemented by a multi-professional team and you will get all the services you need under one roof.

Urological cancers

We treat all urological cancers, most commonly prostate cancer, kidney cancer and bladder cancer. Common forms of treatment with urological cancers are surgical procedures. Our hospital also has the latest technology, including the DaVinci Xi surgical robot (Intuitive Surgical®) which allows for even more demanding, minimally invasive surgeries.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, but it has a good prognosis. After the confirmation of the diagnosis, we will do the necessary further examinations, such as skeletal mapping, magnetic imaging, CT scan or PSMA-PET-scan. The treatment of prostate cancer includes active follow-ups and discussions with the nursing staff throughout the process. Our hospital’s treatment forms for prostate cancer include, for example, robot-assisted laparoscopic radical surgery, external CyberKnife precision radiotherapy and hormone therapy. The best combination of treatments is tailored together with oncologists.

Kidney cancer is slightly more common in men than women. Our hospital has a high level of expertise and first-class equipment for treating kidney cancer. We treat kidney cancer with robot-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomies with the DaVinci Xi surgical robot (Intuitive Surgical®), simple nephrectomies laparoscopically or through open surgery and minimally invasive thermal ablation of tumours.

We also treat bladder cancers of all stages, including cancers that invade muscles. The most suitable forms of treatment are always determined together with a multidisciplinary team of oncologists. We have an excellent team that has specialized in bladder cancer. The most common form of treatment is a surgical procedure. In cases of superficial bladder cancers we perform, for example, endoscopic, minimally invasive surgeries. We do additional therapies based on active follow-ups and individual need.

Other urological diseases

You will receive individual, high-quality care for other urological diseases as well, such as prostatic hyperplasia, kidney stones and urinary incontinence. Prostatic hyperplasia is treated with medication and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). Imaging, ureteroscopy and endoscopical lithotripsy are important forms of diagnosis and treatment with kidney stones. We use different kinds of slings and prosthetics to treat urinary incontinence after prostate procedures.
