Five steps to care

Ophthalmic diseases treatments

High-quality eye diseases’ treatment and prevention of visual impairment

Do you have impaired vision or an eye disease, for which you are looking for high-quality diagnosis and treatment?

We annually provide high-quality, humane, fast and flexible treatment for more than 30 000 patients. We carry out about 3000 surgeries that consist of cataract, glaucoma, strabismus and retina surgery. We use laser technology in the treatment of retinal diseases and glaucoma. We are an internationally visible eye clinic, in terms of both high-quality care and scientific research.

AMD treatment

We annually carry out almost 5000 intraocular injection treatments for wet AMD. We have focused AMD diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for the most experienced retinal specialists. Access to treatment is fast. In diagnosis and follow-up care, we use the newest precise imaging technology, such as OCT light layer imaging.

Diabetic retinopathy treatment

In diagnosis, we use the latest imaging technology. We treat diabetic retinopathy by means of laser technology and/or intraocular injections. We have centralised diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care to the best diabetes specialists. We carry out the treatment in collaboration with internal medicine physicians by holistically taking into account the balance of diabetes.

Retinal surgery

We annually carry out about 500 retinal surgery operations that consist of vitreous cleaning operations for diabetics and retinal surgery operations with the most modern technologies and top-class dissecting microscopes. Our ophthalmic surgeons have carried out thousands of retinal surgeries. Most of the surgeries are carried out under local anaesthesia, so that going home is faster.

Neuro-ophthalmology

The neuro-ophthalmologist is a university clinic specialist, who ensures high-quality neuro-ophthalmology diagnosis and treatment. The radiography examinations comprise the imaging of the fundus, visual field examinations, OCT, CT and MRI examinations. We often carry out the treatment of optic nerve diseases in flexible cooperation with neurologists, neurosurgeons, internal medicine physicians and radiologists. We mainly treat glaucoma patients with medication and laser technology. Some of the glaucoma patients require surgery, which we implement with modern technology.

Paediatric eye diseases

The treatment of strabismus and children’s inflammatory eye diseases is carried out with high quality by experienced ophthalmologists. As proof of our flexible operating practices, we provide children with glasses from our own clinic in connection with out-patient visits. We have centralised strabismus surgery to experienced professionals.
