For me the most significant aspect of patient work is to help the patient in the best possible way, listening to his or her wishes and having good interaction. This enables good, comprehensive and high-quality treatment.
 
I was interested in brain anatomy, function and diseases already during my studies. While studying medicine, I did a doctoral dissertation related to brain diseases. My doctoral dissertation involved microscopic surgery and I was very interested in it, so neurosurgery was a natural choice for a specialty.
